Yeah that 1k coat is nice.
I have the 15k kurzick, i dyed it deep turquoise and it looks amazing. Admittedly i hardly play her so i you probably won't have seen her around.

The 1k coat is great too.

I've seen it - with the correct dye combination it's gorgeous, but with the wrong dye combination it looks blotchy and hideous.

I think..
Black dyed Fow, with chaos gloves and a non-matching headgear.. maybe.. a bandanna or a blindfold? Hardly see anyone wearing that.

Male Elementalist Ascalon Armor.

There's a couple of things I really don't like about male ele armor or armor in general; base color tint showing, fuzzy lowres textures on some part of the armor, the extremely unnatural movement of some of the long coats / skirts or excessive clipping. Since at least one of those applies to almost all other sets I ended up with Ascalon armor .

Looks very clean. Apart from the vabbian eyes I look like a poor lowlevel in towns but oh well, looking good > looking rich.

I personally like Primeval (Male Warrior) but people are always like "Eww Primeval" whenever they see me with it. I don't know if that's because it's ugly and uncommon or because everybody has it.

But I really like 15k Kurzick (Female Monk) and 1k Sunspear (Female Ranger). Haven't seen those around much.

Actually, I find it too bulky for my taste, but it's possible to make a supposedly 'ugly' armour look good - just a lot more difficult.

These two are pretty decent always did like these since seeing them in pre searing.

I recently had a very kind person make me some hi-res texmod versions of these armor's too = Farlo, He does a very good job

I think it is, but it's partly a case of the profession itself - I don't see that many mesmers around, period. And when I do see them I see a lot of Enchanter, Elite Canthan, Asuran... but not 15k Kurzick.

Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't seen many 15k Kurzick outfits at all. There used to be quite a few 15k Kurzick monks (which prompted me to buy an Asuran set) but I haven't seen them recently.

Ummm, my girl has the 15K Kurzick can-can dress dyed an antique tea rose color. I love it except for the funny pulled up front of the skirt. That part just looks assinine.

I have 15k kurz on my monk too , i got 15k enchanters for my mesmer too though so i sometimes conform.
